TerseEditor (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the TerseEditor macOS application (the “App”) and the website terseeditor.com (the “Website”). It is prepared in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”).

We do not collect, store, or transmit personal data from the App. TerseEditor works entirely on your device: it requires no account, makes no network calls, and contains no analytics, telemetry or crash-reporting of any kind. You can run it on an offline Mac and nothing changes.
Documents you open and notes you create in TerseEditor:
If you point the notes folder at a cloud-synced location (for example iCloud Drive), synchronisation is performed by that provider under its own terms — the App itself still transmits nothing.
The Website uses Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) to understand aggregate visits and download counts. Google Analytics may set cookies and process truncated IP addresses and browser metadata. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring the reach of the Website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data processed by Google may be transferred to the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can opt out with the Google Analytics browser add-on or by blocking the googletagmanager.com domain. See Google's Privacy Policy.
The Website and downloads are served by Cloudflare, Inc. acting as our processor. Cloudflare may process connection metadata (IP address, request headers) briefly for security and delivery purposes, in accordance with Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data with third parties, except the service providers named above (Google, Cloudflare) and authorities where required by applicable law.
Since the App does not collect or store your personal data, there is no App data held by us for you to access, correct, or delete. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde) or your local EU supervisory authority.
The App and Website are not directed at children under 13. No personal data is knowingly collected from children.
